Candidates interested and eligible only in Non ECAT based programs are required to Generate and Pay the Challan of Rs. 3,000/- per that covers the Admission Application processing Fee.

For HBL: This fee can be paid on-line through HBL on-line banking facility for HBL account holders and the challan number generated will be used as token number for registering in the Entry Test. The timing will be displayed on the ADMIT CARD. Candidates are required to print the admit card on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, which will mention the date, time, and venue of the test.

The duration of the Entry Test is 100 minutes.

The Entry Test will be of four combinations: 1. English, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry 2. English, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science 3. English, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics 4.English, Physics, Biology, Chemistry 5. English, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science

The candidate should select the combination, listed in response to question 8, depending on his subjects in Intermediate (or equivalent) examination. DAE qualified candidate can only choose from the following two options -Physics, Mathematics, English and Chemistry or Physics, Mathematics, English and Computer Science

Information about each subject being examined in the Entry Test is given as under: 1. English: 10 questions. It will be comprehension type. A paragraph would be given and candidates would be required to answer multiple choice questions related to the paragraph. 2. Physics: 30 questions. All questions would be on topics covered in Intermediate / "A" Level/ DAE. Questions would require the candidate to solve problems by using the skills and concepts learnt during the intermediate level studies. For example, candidates would certainly be asked questions on Mechanics, Electricity & Magnetism, Work and Energy, etc. 3. Mathematics: 30 questions. All questions would be on topics covered in Intermediate / "A" Level/ DAE. Questions would require the candidate to solve problems by using the skills and concepts learnt during the intermediate level studies. For example, candidates would certainly be asked questions requiring knowledge of Differentiation, Integration, Linear Algebra, Trigonometry, etc. 4. Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Statistics: 30 questions. All questions would be on topics covered in Intermediate/ "A" Level/ DAE. Questions would require the candidate to solve problems by using the skills and concepts learnt during the intermediate level studies. 5. Biology (in lieu of Mathematics for Pre-medical candidates): 30 questions. All questions would be on topics covered in Intermediate / "A" Level/ DAE. Questions would require the candidate to solve problems by using the skills and concepts learnt during the intermediate level studies.

Marking of Entry Test Answer Sheet: Correct Answer: 4 marks No answer: 0 marks. This means that if a candidate has 40 correct answers, 40 wrong answers and 20 blanks (no answers), he/she would earn the following marks: 40 x 4 + 60 x (0) = 160 + 0= 160 marks out of maximum 400.

Who Can Appear in ECAT “Anyone can take the Entrance Test, however, appearance in the Test does not confer the right to apply for admission in the Engineering institutions of the Punjab.” Eligible Academic Backgrounds Candidates having the following Intermediate / equivalent subject combinations can appear in ECAT: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science Biology, Physics, Chemistry Mathematics, Statistics, Physics DAE Candidates DAE-qualified candidates can appear only in these combinations: Physics, Mathematics, English, Chemistry Physics, Mathematics, English, Computer Science Students Awaiting Result Students appearing in Intermediate Part-II / A-Level final exams may also appear in ECAT for Fall admissions, subject to fulfilling admission requirements later. This is reflected in UET’s ongoing ECAT registration and admission process. Important Clarification Appearing in ECAT does not automatically mean admission eligibility. Candidates must separately fulfill: minimum academic requirements, domicile/category conditions, and submit admission applications through the UET admission portal.

Merit calculation is based on First Year / Part-I Intermediate or equivalent marks along with the ECAT score. However, candidates must possess complete Intermediate or equivalent qualification with at least 50% or 60% marks, as applicable under the respective program eligibility criteria.
